Donald Eugene Carr, 83, of Newcomerstown passed away on April 19, 2023, at the Community Hospice Truman House.
Donald was born on February 19, 1940 to the late Thomas and Mary (Hill) Carr. He was a member of Newcomerstown High School class of 1958.
He enjoyed his time from the age of 14 to present day as an Amateur Radio Operator. He was the creator of the original Tuscarawas Amateur Radio Club.
Donald is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Garretson) Carr of 58 years; children, Chad Carr of Newcomerstown and Kim (Roger) Vermillion of West Palm Beach, FL.; grandchildren, Brandon (Gaby) Bartholow, Jordan Carr (Braeden), Chandler Vermillion, Madison Carr, Karrington (fiance Hunter) Vermillion, Ava Carr; great-grandchildren, Jayden and Salem Fitzgibbon; beloved dog, Sammy; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Charlene Garretson, Tommy and Margaret Garretson; sister-in-law, Linda Garretson; life long friends, Peter and Candi Groh; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Sue; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Betty Garretson; siblings, Bob Carr, Carol Lucas, Barbara Snell, Steven Carr, and Beverly Brenneman; brother and sister-in-law, Norma McKinney and Jimmy Garretson.
