Donald Randal Vermillion, known by all as Randy, passed away at his home in Port Washington, Ohio at the age of 66 on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Born May 6, 1958 in Dennison, Ohio, he was the son of Donna J. (Huff) Vermillion of Gnadenhutten and the late Donald Raymond “D.V.” Vermillion.

After his 1976 graduation from Indian Valley South High School, Randy enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country until 1985. His grandchildren will always remember him sharing his helicopter stories with them. He returned home to Tuscarawas County where he enjoyed a long career as a truck driver for Stocker Trucking and many happy days spent at Midvale Speedway driving his race truck.

On January 4, 2002, Randy married Yvonne M. (Miller) Vermillion who survives him at their home. He is also survived by his son, Ramsey Vermillion; daughters, Bri Vermillion, Jessica Bonnell, and Alice Vermillion; grandchildren, Charli, Raider, and Colbi Vermillion, Raelynn Durbin, and Piper and Maddie Bonnell; sisters, Sandy Butler, Pam (Chris) Abbuhl, and Kim Baker; and many nieces and nephews, as well as his mother, Donna. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Don Butler, and his parents-in-law, William and Margie Miller.

Pastor Jimmy Stull will officiate a memorial service and celebration of Randy’s life at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, at Park Christian Church in Dennison where his family will receive callers from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., prior to the service.
