Donna J. Bridgeman, age 94, of Dover, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, in New Philadelphia’s Schoenbrunn Healthcare.
Born December 2, 1927, in Strasburg, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lovey Mann Penrod. Donna attended school in Strasburg, and, on August 3, 1947, married Jesse Bridgeman. The couple had four children and shared 47 years of marriage prior to Jesse’s passing on August 14, 1994. Donna was a loving homemaker and was employed by Godfrey Wire Products in Dover. Donna and Jesse resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for 25 years, during which time Donna worked in the computer industry. Some of her favorite pastimes were working jigsaw puzzles and visiting Amish country and traveling the back roads of Tuscarawas County.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Tim (Kazette) Bridgeman of Lexington, Ohio, and Kris Bridgeman and Lovie Smith, both of Dover; her grandchildren, Aaron, Amy and Jessica Bridgeman, Gary Lee Rennicker, Robert S. Slocum and Jennifer Clark; her 12 great-grandchildren; and her one-great-great-grandson.
Besides her parents and her husband, Jesse, Donna was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon McCall, and her two sisters and three brothers.
Donna will be cremated, and a private graveside service will be held in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover.
