Donna J, Morris, of Dover passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at her home in Dover.
Born on June 22, 1942, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lorene (Bitikofer) Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Morris on Dec 1, 2020, and her brother-in-law, Dan DeBord.
Donna retired from Union Hospital where she worked in registration for over 30 years. After retiring she worked at her daughter’s toy store once a week until 2019. Lately she could be found at one of her many great grandchildren’s events or eating out with family and friends. She had been a member of the Dover Foursquare Church and most recently New Philadelphia First Christian Church. She loved watching Jimmy Swaggart on TV in the evenings. Her strong faith in God was obvious to everyone who talked to her. She would talk about her faith almost as much as she would talk about her family whom she loved very much.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, “Grandma Donna” will be missed by her children, Joann (Rick) Charnock, Kristie(Bret) Hertzell, Jim(Barbie) Morris, and Debbie (Adam) Wilson; grandchildren, Zach (Aimee) Charnock, Katelyn Jackson, Alexa Prosch, Brooke (Kale) Horvath, Olivia Yannayon, Danielle (Mike) Covington, Dustin (Emily) Morris, Ryder Morris, Tyree Wilson, Bailey Wilson; along with 18 great grandchildren; her brother, Ed (Linda) Harper; her sister, Barb DeBord and many nieces and nephews
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, December 17th from 2pm-4pm. Funeral services will take place on Monday, December 18th at 11:00am with Pastor Jim Borton presiding. Donna will be cremated after the funeral and a private burial will take place at a later date.
