Donna L. Menges, 64, of Mineral City passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Amberwood Manor in New Philadelphia. Born on August 1, 1959, in Dover, Donna’s life was filled with kindness, dedication, and a deep love for nature.
Donna had a remarkable career as an LPN. She devoted two decades of her life caring for others at Community Hospice. Her gentle touch and unwavering support brought comfort to countless patients during their most challenging times. Donna’s commitment to providing compassionate care made a significant difference in the lives of those she served.
Beyond her profession, Donna had a profound love for nature. She found solace and joy by immersing herself in the wonders of the great outdoors. Birdwatching was one of her favorite hobbies, and she took particular delight in observing hummingbirds fluttering among the flowers. Camping trips allowed her to admire the beauty of nature up close while creating lasting memories around campfires with loved ones.
Donna will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, John (Rachel Boughman) Beach of Massillon, Steven Beach, Sarah Menges both of New Philadelphia. Donna also leaves behind four sisters; six grandchildren; companion, Ron Edwards and many nieces and nephews.
Donna was also preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Betty Hudnall Adkins; brother, Dwayne Adkins, and her husband, Jerry Menges who passed on August 4, 2006.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 31st starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 to 11 am.
