Doreen Rose Adkins, 75, of New Philadelphia passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the Community Hospice Truman House following an extended illness.
Born on November 30, 1947, in Wyandotte, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Beatrice (Silvers) Rose.
Doreen was a graduate of River Rouge High School in Michigan.
She enjoyed knitting. She had a love for animals, especially dogs, and the deer that she enjoyed watching and feeding at her home. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On August 14, 1985, she married William “Bill” Adkins Jr., who survives. She will also be missed by her children; Michael (Patty) Rankin of Montana, and Amy (William) Treciak of Columbus; her beloved grandchildren, Brittany (Kit), Ashley (Danny), Heather, Lauren, Ethan, Sylvia, and Spencer; great-grandchildren, Arya, Charlotte, and Lelia; along with her sisters, Lorraine, and Deanna (Bryan).
