Dorothy A. Locker, 98, of Dover passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at the Community Hospice Truman House.
Born on January 22, 1925, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Viola (Maus) Dummermuth. She married Eugene Locker, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Dummermuth; two grandchildren, and her sister in-law, Wilma Lee Dummermuth.
Dorothy worked for over 40 years at East Sparta Ceramics before her retirement.
She leaves behind her three children; Cathy Douglas (Connie Buhr) of Florida, Christy (Jim) Martin of New Philadelphia, John (Connie) Douglas of Coshocton; two sisters, Betty (Ron) Kohl of New Philadelphia, Faye Mast of Sugarcreek; brother, Dean (Kay) Dummermuth; along with five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover on Monday, July 31, 2023, from 10:00 am-12 pm. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will begin following calling hours at 12 pm with Pastor Leanna Roe officiating. Burial will take place at Dover Burial Park.
