Dorothy “Ellen” (Patterson) Pickrell, 88 of West Lafayette, passed away on January 5, 2025 at Genesis Hospital.

Ellen was born February 2, 1936, in Newcomerstown to the late John and Mary (Stonebrook) Patterson. She was a graduate of West Lafayette High School in 1954. Upon graduation Ellen was voted West Lafayette Homecoming Queen. She was Methodist by faith. She loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts, painting, playing cards, sewing, quilting, and genealogy. She was a member of the Coshocton Herb Society, the Coshocton Canal Quilters, and a former member of the Eastern Stars. She retired from Jones Metal Company.

She is survived by her children Rhonda Faust of West Lafayette, and her 4 grandsons Branden Russell, Bradley Wayne (Susie) Russell, Bryan Russell, Josh “Eli” Pickrell. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Carter, Carsen, Cameren, Joy, Branden Jackson, and Karsen. She is also survived by 3 sisters Doris Mellor of North Carolina, Patricia Blickensderfer, and Susan Patterson of West Lafayette, along with 2 brothers Thomas (Joan) Patterson of West Lafayette, and Chester (Margaret) Patterson of Florida.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ronald Pickrell; her two sons Timothy Wayne and Christopher Dean; one great grand daughter Haven Russell; Five brothers John, William, Earl, Charles (Jackie), Max, Larry, and Keith Patterson; as well as one sister Marjorie Lorenz.

A visitation will be held at Addy Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, January 10, 2025. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Ellen will be laid to rest in West Lawn Cemetery.
