Dorothy J. Storrie, 88, of New Philadelphia passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, in the Park Village Health Care Center Southside.

She was born on February 13, 1934, in New Philadelphia and was the daughter of the late Edgar and Margaret Eckert Warner. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her husband, John Storrie Sr. on June 22, 1981; son, John Storrie Jr.; daughter, Laura Storrie; grandson, Ryan Storrie, and five brothers and sisters.

Dorothy, along with her husband John, were the co-owners of Storrie Home Builders for many years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and in her spare time, Dorothy loved cooking for her family and friends. She was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed taking care of her garden.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Michael (Rita) Storrie of South Carolina, Thomas (Mindy) Storrie of North Carolina, Lisa Bailey of New Philadelphia; sisters, Carol Warner, and Elizabeth Cardani; sister-in-law, Paula Warner all of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Mallory Storrie, Zachary Bailey (fiancé Alecia Yeagle and her son, AJ), Lindsay Bailey (companion, Arien Wise and his three children, Nevin, Lucy, and Deacon), John Storrie III (fiancé, Molly Willis), Meredith Storrie (husband, Patrick Tomasovich), Lauren (Jim) Story and a great-grandson, Kayden Crosier.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial Mass will be held on Monday, February 13th starting at 11:00 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia with Fr. Jeff Coning officiating. Interment of the ashes will be in the Sacred Heart Calvary Cemetery. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
