Gwen Rummell Reporting –
A challenger is looking to win a spot on Dover City Council for the Ward 3 seat.
The seat is currently occupied by Sandy Moss, with challenger Cody Jerles looking to receive voter support.
Jerles aims to bring a new perspective to the council.
“Voices become monotonous after a while. I think it’s time to start fresh. I think the accountability and availability is something that is very important to me so being more of an available person in my community, specifically in my ward, [will] go a long way.”
Jerles adds that he would like to hold “Coffee with Cody” sessions to listen to community concerns.
Meanwhile, Moss says her experience from serving on the council makes her a valuable member.
“I believe I am the best candidate to serve the citizens of Ward 3 due to my experience, dedication, transparency, and long history of accomplishments as a city councilwoman.”
Moss also notes that she hopes to create jobs and tackle the Dover Chemical issue.
Tuesday, November 7th is Election Day and polling locations open at 6:30 am.
