Dover Director of Public Safety Announced

Dover Mayor Shane Gunnoe announced the city’s new Director of Public Safety.

Robert W. Everett, effective Thursday, April 18^th, will assume the position. Gunnoe expressed his confidence in Everett, stating he was the most qualified out of all the applicants.

“I believe he’ll do the best he can to work with the police and fire chiefs to enhance our departments and plan for the future. He had many years of service both in the public and private sector and I felt that like that experience lent itself well to the position of Safety Director.”

Everett is currently employed as the Director of Safety and Security at Buckeye Career Center. The part-time status of Dover’s Safety Director will allow Everett to serve in both positions.
