Residents are encouraged to come out on this Thursday to support the Dover Police Department as they participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ohio.
Members with Dover Police will receive the torch between 12:00 – 12:30 PM at Jessica Drive and will take turns carrying it through Dover, down Wooster Avenue and to the Boulevard, to New Philadelphia.
Torch exchanges will take place at 15th Street and at Front Street and then passed to New Philadelphia at Anola Avenue.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Ohio (LETR) is a volunteer movement that was established by members of the law enforcement community. The flame symbolizes courage, perseverance, and the inclusion movement taking place in Ohio and across the globe.
