Mary Alice Reporting – The Tuscarawas County Commissioner to a moment during this week’s meeting to honor a business that started in 1922.

Dover Tank and Plates began when two Pennsylvania line works, father and son, started the business to build state-of-the-art structural steel.

The business has been passed down through generations and Luke Lawless, one of the managers, noting that they continue with a quality of services in steel fabrication.

 “Our guys are basically welders and fabricators. We drill holes and cut holes and then we assemble beams and columns to make a building structure.”

Commissioner Kerry Metzger was not in attendance for the meeting, but Commissioner’s Chris Abbuhl and Al Landis commended the business for their longevity and their continued contribution to the area including employment opportunities.
