Records indicate the Dover Police Department receiving a call, just after midnight on Monday, from a man in a wooded area near West 5th Street who claimed he was stabbed in the eye and leg. He said he couldn’t walk or see.
Initial reports indicate a puncture wound in the knee and possibly an eye. However, police Monday morning said they hadn’t yet been able to talk with the victim, who was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
Police looking for a crime scene found signs of blood on a back porch in the 300 block of West 5th Street.
Call records indicate they attempted to contact people at a party in that area. No suspects have been identified, and no further details have been avilable.
