The Dover Public Library will host author David Warther to present his book Working in Ivory: The Story of the Warther Carvers.

The program will be held on Monday, September 11th at 6:30 pm in front of the fireplace.

In his book, Warther tells the Warther family history, dating back to the early 1800’s. The story relates to the knife factory and the carvings the family is known for. Warther’s presentation will show the hardships Mooney Warther faced along with the better times.

Additionally, Dover history and national events will be included.
