Gwen Rummell Reporting –

Beginning in the fall, the Dover Public Library invites teens in grades 6-12 to participate in Teen Tuesdays.

The weekly events are held in the library’s Community Room and run from September 12th at 3:00 pm to December 5th.

Workshops during Teen Tuesdays will include a slime party, comic character drawing lessons, story writing, and holiday-inspired activities.

Teen/Outreach Services Manager Liz Strauss says the afterschool program is a great way to help teenagers socially and expand their skill set.

“The teens get to express their creativity and learn new skills. They also be working in teams. We know that good teamwork and communication skills are important.”

All programs will run for approximately one hour, with complimentary light refreshments.

For a full list of upcoming teen events, patrons can visit teen programs under the departments tab on the Dover Public Library website.
