Gwen Rummell Reporting –

An informational program regarding an upcoming solar eclipse will be held at the Dover Public Library.

On April 8th, a solar eclipse will be visible in many parts of Ohio, including partial visibility in Holmes, Wayne, and Stark counties. According to NASA, the eclipse will begin partially around 2 pm and reach its totality around 3:10 pm.

The library’s program, presented by Akron native Carl Quatraro, will explain where to view the eclipse and how to view it safely. Advice on photographing the event will also be provided.

The program will be held on Monday, March 11th at 6:30 pm in the Community Room. Participants will receive a pair of special glasses made to view the eclipse afterward.

Registration for the free event can be completed on the library’s website under events or by calling 330-343-6123.
