Dover’s parks continue to be the beneficiary of generous gift-givers in the community.
This week the city received 45-thousand dollars from the Dover Exchange Club to build a new pavilion at Dover City Park.
Club Treasurer Rockne Clarke says this will be the second pavilion funded by the Exchange Club.
Mayor Shane Gunnoe also announced a 25-thousand-dollar gift from the Rosenberry Foundation to help build a splash pad at Dover City Pool.
The donations come two weeks after the city’s parks received a $111,000 gift from the estate of Joanne Sullie. Gunnoe has said officials are looking for an appropriate way to spend that money.
