The new Dover Schools Athletic Director is looking forward to joining the Crimson Tornado tradition and cutting down on his work commute.
The Dover Board of Education approved Adam Brately as the new A-D to replace the retiring Tim McCrate. The Canton resident has been the athletic director at West Holmes for the past nine years.
He has already experienced the community’s hospitality, helping him switch his wardrobe from red, white and royal blue to crimson and gray.
Brately will take over as Dover athletic director this summer. He was at this past Monday’s School Board meeting, which means he missed his new team beat his old team in an Ohio Cardinal Conference boys basketball game.
Officials say Brately’s experience and leadership roles in the Ohio Cardinal Conference set him apart from 20 candidates.
