Earl T. “Tom” Leggett, age 73, of  Bowerston, Ohio, died late Saturday night, January 11, 2025, in the Aultman Hospital at Canton.

He was born December 8, 1951 in Dennison, Ohio and was the son of the late Earl Max and Helen V. (Siniski) Leggett.  

Tom retired from the East Sparta Ceramic Tile Company after 15 years of service. He was a devout NASCAR fan who collected memorabilia, particularly from his favorite driver Jeff Gordon. He was fond of spending time outdoors, whether as an avid hunter, going fishing or simply spending time around a campfire in the backyard of his home.  He was an enthusiastic fan of Ohio State Buckeye Football, and was also partial to the Cleveland Guardians and Browns. He was the owner of a large collection of nutcrackers which were displayed around his home.  He was a 1969 graduate of Conotton Valley High School and a member of the Uhrichsville Moose.. 

He is survived by his wife Deborah A. Leggett, whom he married June 13, 1998, two sons Donnie E. (girlfriend Kymberlee Whispell) Leggett of New Philadelphia, OH and  Andy (girlfriend Rhonda Vechey) Leggett of Wainwright, OH, a step-son Joe Cunningham of Sherrodsville, OH, his brother, Keith (Debbie) Leggett of Salem, OH and a sister Mrs. Nita  (Robert) Yager of Carrollton, OH,  a granddaughter, Ashlee Leggett of Wainwright, three step-grandsons Cameron Cunningham of Minerva, OH,  Alec Cunningham of Dover, OH, and Andrew Cunningham of Canton, a step-granddaughter Ashley Cunningham of Canton, a step-great-grandson Jace Cunningham and step-great-granddaughter, Mykah Cunningham, both of Canton.

A Memorial Gathering will be observed from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M., Saturday, January 25, 2025 in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville.  Attendees are cordially invited to join the family for fellowship and refreshments at the Sherrodsville Calvary Church Social Hall immediately following the gathering.  To leave an online condolence message please visit the funeral home website.
