Mary Alice Reporting – Following the announcement of a special Ohio election, early voting hours have been confirmed.

The Tuscarawas County Board of Elections Office has received the specified hours for early, in-person voting for the August 8th election that has a single, statewide issue.

Gail Garbrandt says that the first day to start voting will be Tuesday, July 11th, the day after the registration deadline.

“The last day to register to vote for the August 8th special election will be on Monday, July 10th and our office will be open extended hours from eight in the morning until nine o’clock at night.”

In-person hours leading up to the special election includes the elections office being open on July 11th from 8am to 5pm. Those hours apply for three weeks.

Monday July 31st will have early voting from 7:30am top 7:30pm and August 1st until 8:30pm.

August 2nd through August 4th will be 7:30am to 7:30pm.

The Saturday before the election, the local BOE will be open from 8am to 4pm. Sunday, August 6th’s hours are from 1pm to 5pm. No early voting will take place the day before the special election.

The only issue on the ballot, for all precincts, is an amendment to the Ohio Constitution.
