Eddie Earl Golder, Sr, age 92, of New Philadelphia died Thursday, February 13, 2025, in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover.
Born in Barnhill, Ohio on June 30, 1932, Eddie was a son of the late Earl and Priscilla Bean Golder.
From 1952 – 1954, Eddie served his country as a member of the United States Army. On May 17, 1953, he married the former Wanda Carlisle and together the couple had two sons and have shared in 71 years of marriage.
Professionally, Eddie was Batch Man for Twin City Concrete at Dover and enjoyed mowing and keeping his yard well-manicured in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda, a son, Eric Golder of New Philadelphia, a grandson, Eric Golder, Jr., and a sister, Jane Daley.
In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by a son, Eddie Golder, Jr, and a sister, Joan Booth.
A graveside service with military honors by New Philadelphia Carl C. Stoller VFW Post 1445 will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 2 PM in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
