Edna Neff, 95, of Sugarcreek, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Union Hospital in Dover following a short illness.

She was born in Tuscarawas County on June 20, 1927, to the late Jacob B. and Ruth I. (Burger) Harman and married James R. Neff on July 27, 1946.  He died on November 25, 2015.

She was retired from Garaway Schools, where she worked for 30 years and was a volunteer at Union Hospital for 20 years.

She was a member of the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church and sang in the Church choir.

She is survived by her two children, Greg (Marcia) Neff and Marsha (Patrick) Walker both of Sugarcreek; grandchildren, Jayme (Chad) Stover, Karri Walker, Matt (Nicole) Walker, Kelly (Doug) Burtscher, and Kimberly Balychev; great-grandchildren, Brody Burtscher, Cash Walker, Ashlynn, and Isaiah Walker, Kelsey Jimmie and Haley Harris; and her two sisters, Virginia Wilhelm of Auburndale, Florida and Ruth Ann (George) McGinness of Bloomingdale, OH.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister, Mabel Trachsel, and brother, Ray Harman.

A private family burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
