The Tuscarawas County of Elections considered consolidating Mill Township’s polling location to Warwick but they reversed the decision.

The board sent a notice to Mill about the needed location change due to the small size of the township building. After not hearing back for several weeks, the Elections Board motioned to consolidate to Warwick Township.

According to Director Brian Swartzwelder, that’s when Mill Township finally reached out in opposition.

“Upon getting that email the board basically revisited the Mill Township and decided to leave it there, and then we’ll look at possibly, in the future, maybe finding another spot in Mill Township that might be a little large facility.”

Meanwhile, Fairfield Township’s suggestion to move to the Somerdale Volunteer Fire Department was approved.
