Elizabeth “Beth” Krantz, 75, of Dover passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

Born on March 10, 1947, in Dover she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Catherine Hadden Krantz. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill Krantz.

Beth was a 1966 graduate of Marycrest High School in Pennsylvania, received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from LaRoche College and her Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Missouri. She had taught at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota for a number of years and eventually retired from the Canton Country Day School as a math and science teacher. Always one to stay busy, following her retirement, Beth became the warehouse manager for Habitat for Humanity, worked for the McKinley Museum, having been instrumental in the founding and running of Discovery World, and lastly, she had been employed with Scott Feller Insurance Agency until her illness forced her second retirement. Beth was an artistic person who enjoyed arts and crafts.

A wonderful and giving mother, grandmother, and sister, Beth will be sadly missed by her son, Jesse (LeNay) Krantz of Bolivar; sisters, Joyce (Paul) Wendel of Westerville, Helen (Bob) Redinger of Bolivar, Sister Rose Anne Krantz of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Xavier and Lizzy.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A service celebrating Beth’s life will be held on Friday, June 24th starting at 7:00 pm with Sister Rose Anne Krantz officiating. The family will be greeting friends on Friday from 5 to 7 pm.
