Elizabeth Waltz, 93, of New Philadelphia, passed away at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia on Saturday, February 12, 2022, following an extended illness.
Born on August 26, 1928, in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Hallie M. (Guthrie) Everett. She married William H. Waltz, who preceded her in death on July 12, 2019, following 70 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Lee Waltz (Raymond Clem), her two brothers; Jack Everett and Larry Everett; her sister, Hallie Everett Shott; sisters-in-law, Midge, and Mary Everett; and her brother-in-law, John Shott.
Elizabeth was a member of the New Philadelphia First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed playing the piano, quilting, and painting.
She will be sadly missed by her three children; William Waltz, Celeste (Kim Gough) Waltz, and Dan (Patti) Waltz, grandchildren, Nathan (Sarah) Waltz, Jeff (Melissa) Waltz, Todd (Amanda) Waltz, and Kelly (Trevor) Rogers; her great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ashlyn, Benjamin, Abigail, Brynlee, and Connor; along with her sister-in-law, Gloria Everett, and many nieces and nephews.
