Residents should not be alarmed when they see a large contingent of first responders at Kraton Chemical in Dover on Saturday morning.

Local safety forces will be working with the company for a full-scale hazardous materials response training exercise.

Tuscarawas County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency Director Jenn James says the training is required every four years.

She says the Dover Fire Department and other agencies will participate.

The roads around Kraton Chemical, at 875 Harger Street, may be closed to the public for a time between 8 a.m. and noon Saturday during the training exercise. That’s in the southwest part of Dover between the Tuscarawas River and Tuscarawas Avenue.
