Empower Tusc Coordinator Jodi Salvo has been named the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) Legislative Advocate of the Year.

The award was presented at CADCA’s 34th Annual National Leadership Forum in National Harbor, Maryland. The honor, presented by President and CEO General Barrye L. Price, is given to an individual who stands out as a leader in the field of substance use prevention.

Salvo’s efforts in guiding Empower Tusc towards contributing to the prosperity of youth in Tuscarawas County is noted as the reason for the award.

Salvo was also a conference speaker at the CADCA Forum and spent time on Capitol Hill meeting with Senator Brown and Congressman Balderson offices to advocate for support with substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support.
