A local event this Sunday will honor those lost to suicide and offer hope to those who may be struggling.

The “No One Walks Alone” Hope and Remembrance Walk is set for Southside Community Park in New Philadelphia. Empower Tusc Coordinator Terri Miller says registration begins at 3 p.m., with a remembrance ceremony at 4.

Organizers will have light refreshments, resource tables from counseling agencies and community partners, and live harp music. ADAMHS Board Community Services Manager Leslie Korns says the walk concludes with a bell ceremony recognizing the county’s suicide losses for 2025.

This year’s lived-experience speaker is Vivian Winters from the V.A., returning to share a one-year perspective on her journey as a loss survivor and through grief.
