Eric A. Albaugh, 72, of Beach City passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in the Community Hospice Truman House.
Eric was born on September 24, 1949, in Dennison and was the son of the late Dean and June Thompson Albaugh. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jon Albaugh.
Eric graduated from Scio High School and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia; while at Alderson, he was a member of the Sigma Delta Nu fraternity. Eric had worked for Yoder Plumbing for a few years and eventually retired in 2019 as the owner and operator of Dover Plumbing after more than 30 years of service. Always one to stay busy, following his retirement, he owned “The Stand” concessions in Dennison. Eric loved sports and was a pretty good tennis player in high school and college; he also enjoyed playing the organ, fishing, and watching college basketball and football.
Eric is survived by his sons, Scott (Andrea) Albaugh of Rayland, Jason (fiancé, Tina Taiclet) Albaugh of Dover; grandchildren, Zoey, Austin, Camryn, and Caycee; great-grandson, Noah; and his long-time companion, Karen Parrish.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 12th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David Wing officiating. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
