Ethel Marie Kleski, 93, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital. She had resided in Uhrichsville, Ohio prior to moving to Country Club Retirement Campus in Dover, Ohio. Ethel was born August 13, 1930 in Dennison, Ohio to the late Clarence Albert and Dola May (Albaugh) Marty.

She was a 1948 graduate of Dennison High School before wedding the love of her life, Edward E. Kleski, on July 31, 1948. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker, who also embraced her role as a farm wife – supporting her husband’s work on the family farm. He preceded her in death on April 17, 2018 after nearly 70 years of marriage. Ethel is also preceded in death by her siblings, Gene Marty, Robert Marty, and Shirley Eckhardt. A lifelong Tuscarawas County resident, she had been a member of Park Christian Church in Dennison.

Ethel is survived by a son, Edward E. (Adair) Kleski, II; two grandsons, Travis (Tabitha) Kleski and Matthew (Amy) Kleski; a step grandson, Randy Rutter and his family; three great-grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle) Kanouff, Rett (Miriah) Kleski, and Parker Kleski; a great-great-granddaughter, Lennox Kanouff; three step great-grandchildren; three step great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

As per Ethel’s wishes, a family graveside service is planned at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia where she will be interred beside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
