During the Christmas Tours, visitors can explore beautifully decorated historic buildings, each showcasing German Christmas traditions and the origins of holiday customs. Tours are by reservation only and leave every 30 minutes.
At Christmas in Zoar, guests can learn about the rich history of Christmas customs through 19th-century demonstrations featuring American and German holiday traditions. Various Christmas characters can also be found through the village, including Santa, Kristkind,
Father Christmas, the German Belsnickel and Krampus. All Christmas characters will be present at Christmas in Zoar and the Christmas Tours. Additional festive activities include the Merry Miles; 5K race, live musical entertainment, annual pickle hunt, hot chocolate and more.
Unique seasonal gifts and decor are available for purchase from the Zoar Store, Zoar Bakery and various vendors and crafters located throughout the village. Various local choirs and musical groups will perform live holiday music throughout the village and at the Zoar Meeting House (Zoar United Church of Christ), including the Camarada Brass Quintet, Trombone Alliance, Northwest High School Choir, Delphian Chorale, North Canton High School Choir and the Bravera Woodwind Quintet.
