Mary Alice Reporting – Entertainment and classic cars will be in Sugarcreek this weekend.
The two days festivities for the Fabulous 50’s Fling feature vehicles, food and music
The 32nd event begins Friday with an open-class cruise-in starting at 4pm, explains organizer Doug Frautchy.
“Friday nights a cruise-in so you can bring whatever car you want. You don’t have to be fancy show car, you don’t have to be 1999 and older. Bring whatever you want and enjoy the Spikeman DJ that’s going to be there, we’ve got some good food, some cool cars to look at, and a good time.”
Meanwhile, a self-driving tour of five local wineries and wine shops, the Wine Country Cruise, is also open Friday afternoon, with the first stop at Silver Moon Winery, and ends at the car show grounds. An optional Poker Run is available with cards at the different wineries. Sheets must be turned in by 6pm.
The event is in downtown Sugarcreek, behind the fire station.
Saturday will be the judged car show, for model 1999 and older, and participants will enter the show from North Broadway, and they will be judge on the way in. Any road dirt or bugs will not cause a deduction. Registration is from 9am to 1pm. The live music and food vendors open at 11am.
