A late-night Friday crash in I-77 resulted in one fatality.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol New Philadelphia Post reports that around 10 p.m. on April 19th, a vehicle struck a bicycle near milepost 93 in Lawrence Township. Both the car and the bicycle were traveling southbound in the left-hand lane when the incident occurred.
The rider of the bicycle was later identified as 44-year-old Bartholomew Snow of Xenia and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 24-year-old from Powhatan Point, was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation.
