No foul play is suspected in a fatal fire investigation.
The Dover Fire Department responded Friday, at 12:40pm, to S. Johnson Avenue. Captain Mike Mosser says they had the blaze under control within 17 minutes. The fire originated in the living room.
A single male occupant was located in the kitchen area and was treated for injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital. A canine inside the home was pronounced dead.
A cause of the blaze is under investigation by Dover Fire and the Ohio State Fire Marshall’s Office.
Mosser reminds residents to always call 911 for emergency situations and not the departments direct line.
