Riders on a motorcycle died as a result of injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s New Philadelphia Post, the Harley Davidson was traveling on State Route 800, Sunday evening, when it traveled off the side of the road.

An ongoing investigation determined that the driver, 42-year-old Cory Herron, of Dover, was northbound, in Dover Township, when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a guardrail. Herron and his passenger, Michelle Orr, 43, of Dover, received fatal injuries.

Assisting agencies included the Tuscarawas Sheriff’s Office, Dover police and fire departments, Smith Ambulance, and the Tuscarawas County Coroner’s Office.
