Mary Alice Reporting –

Strasburg firefighters responded to an early morning blaze on US 250.

The 12:30am call, on Tuesday, had units responding to Dover Brake Inc.

Captain Jordan Turek explains when they arrived on scene, fire was showing from the eves.

“They began initial fire attack and used water with the tankers with assistance from Bolivar and Dover for interior fire attack. They were able to extinguish the fire pretty quickly and then did overhaul to look for extensions.”

The blaze originated in the middle of the building and extended upward into the roof, with crews remaining on scene for about two and a half hours. No one was injured and a cause is still under investigation.
