The Dennison Fire Department responded to a garage fire on Friday after an alert from a neighbor.
The call in at about 10:30 am Friday that a garage on 6527 Waterworks Hill Road SE was engulfed in flames.
Fire Chief Dave McConnell said the fire was causing severe damage by the time of units’ arrival.
“Units found heavy fire on all four sides of the building with the roof actually collapsed in already and fire impending on the residential structure.”
Chief McConnell adds that the homeowners were not home at the time of the fire.
An investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire. Damage caused by the fire is estimated around $40,000.
The Dennison Fire Department was assisted by Uhrichsville Fire Department, Warwick Township Volunteer Fire Department, Smith Ambulance, and Arrowhead Fire District.
