No one was inside a rental home when a blaze broke out Sunday night.
Dover firefighters were originally called at 8:40pm, to East Avenue to Shenanigans on a report of smoke coming from the building.
This was not the case says Captain Michael Mosser but a haze was visible in the immediate area.
“The Police located a house on fire, at 727 East Avenue, There was no one there. It was a rental home and they had moved out over the weekend. There was no on there and there were very few contents in the home. There was an electrical problem in the attic that caused the fire.”
Assisting fire departments were Strasburg, Bolivar, and New Philadelphia, along with Smith Ambulance.
