Nick McWilliams reporting – Local fire departments will put their skills on display on Saturday at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds.
The HRN Firefighter Field Day will be Saturday, June 10th, starting at noon from the fairgrounds, inviting local residents to see firefighters from across the area take each other on in competitions.
Admission is free, with charity benefits also a part of the festivities.
Three person teams will take part in the water barrel tournament, a firefighter-oriented spin on tug-of-war, with other demonstrations, a cruise-in from noon to 9 p.m., live music throughout the afternoon and evening, and fireworks to close out the show.
Kids can also take part in their own firefighting skills training.
Food, a beer garden, and more will also be featured.
