A former New Philadelphia school district superintendent has died.
The Firelands local school district in north central Ohio announced Thursday morning that David Brand passed away following a courageous health battle.
Online records indicate Brand was 46.
He served as New Philadelphia’s superintendent from 2015 to 2021.
After leaving, Brand served as superintendent of the North Olmsted school district until 2024. Most recently, he was a director at north coast therapy associates, a Cleveland-area non-profit.
