Ohio Lt. governor Jim Tressel has been sending one of his top offensive stars from his time at Ohio state out into schools to promote his fitness challenge program for students.

Former Buckeyes and NFL wide receiver ted Ginn jr. was at New Philadelphia west elementary Thursday to speak to the kids, lead them in exercises, and sign autographs for them. Ginn says his job is to inspire the kids to keep up with it and finds it rewarding work.

The team Tressel fitness challenge is described as a 90-day journey to help students build healthy habits in physical activity, sleep, and nutrition through personalized goal setting. Students in the challenge progress through three levels – bronze, silver, and gold – from a menu of activities.
