Fort Laurens Museum will host a primitive fire-starting class with experts from the Midwest Native Skills Institute.

The workshop will take place September 2nd from 11 am to 1 pm and will feature Tom Laskowski, Midwest Native Skills Institute director and founder.

The institute is an outdoor survival school which was selected by the magazine “American Survival Guide” as one of the top five schools in the United States to learn wilderness self-reliance and survival skills.

Limited spaces are available, and preregistration is required by August 29th. To register, find Fort Laurens on www.eventbrite.com. The cost is $15 per person and is due at the time of registry.
