Frances Victoria Mears, of Strasburg, born February 25, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pa., was reunited with her beloved Richard on Sunday, January 8, 2023. After celebrating the holidays and spending time with many in her family, she slipped peacefully to her eternal rest after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Angeline (Milyiori) Damiene, her brothers Frank Damiene, Pete Damiene and sister Anita Barnhart. She is survived by her Sister, Josephine Fox and by countless loving nieces and nephews. The love that she shared with her family and friends was her biggest accomplishment. She spent many hours cooking, sewing, cleaning and caring for those she loved. Even while owning and running a successful salon for many years, she found the time to serve others and play the role of mom, sister, honorary grandma and aunt to countless family members and even to the friends of those family members. She was small in stature but loved in a big way. The mark she left on Earth will be felt for many years to come. Aunt Fran, we love you a bushel and a peck!
