Francis G. “Bud” Boring, age 91, of Navarre, formerly of Gnadenhutten, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at New Dawn Rehab and Healthcare Center in Dover.

Born March 30, 1933, in Indiana, Bud was the son of the late Frank and Clara Belle (Bowser) Boring.

After graduating high school, Bud enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served from 1952 to 1956.  He was employed as a repairman installer for AT &T for 38 years.  Bud was an avid fan of the Cleveland Sports and loved to play golf.

In addition to his parents, Bud is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Claire Boring; siblings Jean Lehman Bennett, Richard, William and Robert Boring.

Bud is survived by his three daughters Valerie (Patrick) Standfield of Savannah, Georgia, Julie (Rich) Nastoff of Navarre and Ruth Jean (Harry) Basiletti of New Philadelphia; sister-in-law Carolyn Boring of Alliance; two grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Bud’s wishes, no services or visitation is planned.
