Frederick A. Bursh, 88, of Coshocton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Park Village Southside. He was born on October 7, 1935, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania to the late Frederick R. and Mary Rasky Bursh. Fred was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rachel Anne Bursh and sister, Dolores Myers.
Recognizing the importance of serving his country, Fred joined the United States Marine Corps., where he displayed great courage and dedication while fulfilling his military duties. He took great pride in graduating from Penn State University in 1960, and embarked on a fulfilling career at General Electric, where he served as an Accountant for an impressive 35 years.
He enjoyed cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and showed unwavering support for Penn State University Football—a true testament to his loyalty and passion for sports.
He leaves behind a loving son, David Bursh (Karen) of New Philadelphia; grandson, Douglas Bursh (fiance Kaitlynn Mehok), who will forever carry his grandfather’s legacy in his heart.
Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Per Fred’s wishes, there are no services or calling hours.
