Frederick Louis Thiebaud, age 93, of Tuscarawas, O., passed away on November 21, 2024, at Hennis Care Centre in Dover, O.  He was born December 28, 1930 in Tuscarawas, O., the son of the late Louis and Ferna (Kinsey) Thiebaud.

Fred attended Tuscarawas High School then enlisted in the United States Army and served from January 11, 1952, until October 10, 1953.  He then was in the Army Reserves and received an honorable discharge on June 14, 1960.  Fred was employed at Marlite for 24 years.  He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Tuscarawas, a lifetime member of the disabled Veterans and a member of the Tuscarawas VFW Post 7943.

Fred always enjoyed spending time with family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  On any given night you could go to New Towne Mall and find Fred sitting and chatting it up with his friends.

On May 13, 1950, he married Thelma Jean (Cady) Thiebaud.  Thelma passed away on August 25, 1995.  In addition to his parents and wife, Fred is preceded in death by a sister Marie Fotheringham and a nephew Ronnie Fotheringham.

Fred is survived by his two daughters Sue (Rick) Espenschied of West Lafayette, O. and Lori McComb of Gnadenhutten; three grandchildren Erica (Brandon) Hamilton, Kristina Hill (fiancé Cameron Petty) and Nikki (Aaron) Wells; five great grandchildren Everlee Hamilton, Noah Wells, Caleb Wells (fiancé Cari Anderson), Luke Wells and Hazel Hamilton; along with countless friends and neighbors.  Fred never met anyone he didn’t talk to or like.

Funeral services for Fred will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday November 27, 2024, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with Rick Espenschied officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery in Tuscarawas, O.  There will be a fellowship dinner following the burial in the basement of the church.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the funeral home.
