Fred was very proud of where he was born and raised in a log cabin outside of Wainwright. He often told stories of his childhood to anyone who would listen. If you knew Fred you knew he never met a stranger. He was a joyful and happy man who was often singing songs and telling jokes. Fred was an avid Ohio State and Guardians fan. He was a devoted Claymont Mustangs fan and long-time ticket holder for their football and basketball teams. Fred started working right out of high school at Larson Clay Pipe Company and then Alsco Anaconda. He retired from Claymont City Schools.
