There’s still time for youth to get enrolled into the Dale Lauren Foland Manufacturing Camp happening July 8th – 10th.

The annual camp invites students entering 7th and 8th grade to Buckeye Career Center to learn more about modern manufacturing, says Nicole Green with Meteor Sealing Systems.

“They just learn the different aspects of what it means to be in manufacturing. There’s so many different options that they have and what they want to do with their life. They have a lot of fun and they learn that there’s a lot more to it than what they originally thought.”

The camp is an opportunity to allow youth to explore and discover through hands-on activities.

“There’s different classes and some of my favorites are they found a way to safely to see a little bit of what wielding is, of operating heavy machinery.”

The cost to attend the three-day camp is $50 per student. More details, including the application and financial assistance information, is available at www.dlfmcamp.com. The application deadline is Friday, June 27th.
