Council gave approval to use ARPA money to purchase a new cruiser for the Uhrichsville Police Department.
The matter was discussed during a finance committee meeting and then presented to council for consideration.
Mayor Jim Zucal noted to council, at their most recent meeting, that the car is $42,000.
“To put that into a city working police car is an additional, the total is about $22,000, so it’s $64,419.”
The city had over $96,000 left from the federal dollars.
